Vada Pav Recipe

Have you ever been to Mumbai and had a Vada Pav? Vada Pav Recipe is a popular street food dish of Mumbai India. The people of Mumbai love to eat Vada-Pav. This dish is made with potatoes. Vada is Deep-fried fritter made of mashed potato and spices. Pav is the native word for a small loaf of bread or bread bun. It was created in Mumbai. This street food is everyone’s favorite snack from kids to adults. You can make this at home in just a few minutes as a breakfast.

Preparation time: 20 minutes, Cooking time: 20 minutes, Total time: 40 minutes.

Ingredients

2  tbsp oil

1/4 teaspoon asafoetida

1 tablespoon mustard seeds

2 tablespoons dill

1-2 onions

2 tbsp green chilli ginger paste

2 potatoes

1 tbsp turmeric powder

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons Coriander leaves

Red chilli powder 2 tablespoon

2 tablespoons lemon juice

To make masala paste :

9 garlic cloves

5 red chillies

2 tbsp white sesame seeds

1 cup grated coconut

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder

1/2 tsp tamarind

1 cup gram flour

Leave 1/4 cup

1 teaspoon salt

1 tbsp red chilli powder

4 green chillies

How to make Potato Vada :

Step 1

In a pan, add oil, asafoetida, mustard seeds and dill. Now roast them together.

Step 2

Add onion and green chilli-garlic paste, and fry it all.

Step 3

Then add boiled potatoes, turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder and cilantro.

Step 4

Mix it well and add lemon juice. Fry well and make a paste

How to make Masala :

Step 1

First take a little oil in a pan. Add whole red chillies, white sesame seeds and coconut with garlic.

Step 2

Mix it all well and add the roasted peanuts. Now add half a teaspoon of salt and red chilli powder and mix well.

Step 3

Then add the tamarind. Mix all the ingredients and make a paste.

Step 4

Take a bowl. Add gram flour, soda, salt and red chilli powder.

Step 5

Add a little water and make a gram flour solution.

Step 6

Take the paste masala from the masala prepared earlier and make a small ball of it.

Step 7

Then deep fry the prepared masala ball in besan solution.

Step 8

Now fry till golden brown.

Step 9

Pan fry some green chillies.

Step 10

Take bread, add green chutney, masala paste and add fried vada in the center.

Step 11

Serve Vada Pav with green chilli chutney. And enjoy it.
