World Best Lasagna Recipe
This is truly the World Best Lasagna Recipe you will ever have ! The Real Lasagna Possibly one of the oldest pastas invented. It was originated in the city of Naples, Italy. Lasagna is a very popular and traditional dish. It has been the part of one of the favorite meals in the families and generations over time. Recipe Tips :
- Go for fresh Whole Milk Mozzarella and Ricotta if possible.
- Use 3 inches deep Lasagna Pan for this recipe.
- Cover the bottom of the pan with a thick layer of sauce, it will avoid Noodles getting stuck at the bottom.
Ingredients
- 1 LB Sweet Italian Sausage
- ¾ LB Beef & Pork, Grounded
- 3 Garlic Cloves, Chopped
- 28 Ounce Crushed Tomatoes ( 1 whole can )
- 12 Ounce Tomato Paste (Cans)
- 13 Ounce Canned Tomato Sauce
- 2 tbsp White Sugar
- ½ Cup Water
- 1 ½ tsp Dried Basil Leaves
- ½ tsp Fennel Seeds
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 4 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
- 12 Lasagna Noodles
- 16 Ounce Ricotta Cheese
- 1 Egg
- ¾ Pound Mozzarella Cheese, sliced
- ¾ Cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
Directions
Step 1
Take a Dutch oven. Add Sweet Italian sausage, ground beef & pork, onion, and garlic in it & cook over medium heat until brown in color. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and water. Combine it well. Season the mixture with sugar, basil, fennel seeds, Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons parsley. Cover it with the lead and cook it for about 1 1/2 hours. Give a good stir occasionally.
Step 2
In a boiling pot add water and a pinch of salt . Once the water boils, cook lasagna noodles in it for 8 to 10 minutes. Drain noodles, and rinse with cold water.
Step 3
Take a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese with egg, parsley and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Step 4
Preheat oven at 375 F. Spread a thick layer of meat sauce at the bottom of the Lasagna Pan. Arrange Noodles over a sauce. Make sure it covers the pan & creates a layer. Spread the ricotta cheese mix over noodle layer. Cover it with the layer of Mozzarella Cheese slices. Add meat sauce over mozzarella, top it with Parmesan cheese. Repeat the layers as above.
Step 5
Cover the pan with foil, make sure there is little gap between top layer and foil.
Step 6
Bake the layered pan in oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove foil, and bake an additional 20 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
